College & Career

Singles and young marrieds from post-high school to early 30’s meet once a month, usually at 7:15 pm on the first Sunday.  They enjoy fellowship and food at the home of Dick & Jacque Bolt. The primary purpose of this group is prayer support and encouragement through the adjustments of life for college and career singles and young marrieds.  Bringing friends is always encouraged!

Spotlight English Club

MULTILINGUAL MINISTRY  This group is for English language learners age middle school and up who want to practice their English conversation skills. We meet once a week on Tuesdays from 6:30-7:30 pm in the Cave, starting September 18.

As Christians we believe that all aspects of life and ministry should be covered with prayer.  There are several ways to participate in our Prayer Ministry: The Prayer Room downstairs is open whenever the church is open.  It offers a wonderful place to meditate and pray. On the first Sunday of the month, a group meets together one-half hour before the morning service to pray as a group for the church. The Prayer Line can be reached 24 hours a day at 534-0868, and is updated once a week on Thursdays. Praise Team

A group of people who lead the congregation in Sunday worship singing. We are always looking for musicians and singers to join us! We meet on Wednesdays at 8pm for practice for the morning worship service, and then an hour-and-a-half prior to Sunday morning worship service for a final rehearsal before we go live. Evening worship praise teams meet an hour-and-a-half prior to Sunday evening worship for their only rehearsal. Musicians and singers - beginners to the accomplished, middle school and older - are welcome. Come and help us lead God’s people in worship! Our evening worship is bilingual, so singersget the added bonus of singing in English and Spanish!

(Just Older Youth) A fellowship and Bible study ministry for seniors (65 and up).  The group meets for Bible study, coffee, fellowship, and discussion, twice a month fall-spring in the Gathering Place (meeting room in the church offices).

Sunday Evening IMPACT

BILINGUAL MINISTRY (Spanish/English) A time to come together to learn about God, the Bible, what it means to be a Christian, how to build and grow healthy relationships, and more. The evening begins at 5:30 with a time of praise and worship as a big group. We then split into groups by age for a teaching and learning time, and end the evening over a meal as a big group.

Soccer con Curva

Come to church on Tuesday evenings starting in mid-October for a unique time of Bible study and soccer playing. We are a multi-cultural group of all ages - at least a dozen nationalities are represented on any given evening. We play for 45 minutes, have a 20 minute bilingual Bible study (Spanish/English) led by Pastor Gilbert Varela, then play more soccer to end our time together. We are indoor fall-spring, and outdoor in the summer. Start time is 7:00 pm.

Sports Groups

For adults (and teens) interested in coming together to participate in various sporting events throughout the year. Summer and fall leagues are available for those who would like to play co-ed soccer; we also have a men’s slow-pitch softball team that plays in the summer. For archery enthusiasts, we have an indoor Archery Range run by certified instructors on the lower level - open Monday evenings from 7-9 pm fall-spring.

Bible Studies

Bible studies for men and women are in session throughout the year. A list is provided here, and you may also contact the church office for details - info@kcrc.org.

BILINGUAL MINISTRY (English/Spanish) A Bible study for women of all ages, married or single. This group meets in the home of a church member. This year the group is studying the book of Exodus. Meetings take place on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month starting September 24, and you can come to either the 6:30-7:30 PM meeting, OR the 8-9 pm meeting. Both meetings are the same so you can move back and forth as your schedule requires. The women enjoy refreshments and social time from 7:30-8 PM, so come early or stay late depending on what study you attend.

Monday Men’s Group

A Bible study for men college-age and up, married or single. This group meets weekly at church on Monday evenings at 7:00 pm in Room 4 downstairs. The group does several 4-6 week studies on various topics throughout the year. Their first study begins on September 17 with a look at the Men’s Network series “Death...Then What?”, a biblical exploration of end of life issues.

Tuesday Evening Women’s Bible Study

A Bible study for women of all ages, married or single. This group meets in the home of a church member. This year the group is studying the book ”What God Really Thinks About Women: Finding Your Significance Through the Women Jesus Encountered”, by Sharon Jaynes. Meetings take place on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month starting September 18.
